Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Review

I’m such a beauty product junkie. I love makeup and I can never resist the allure of trying the next big thing. For this reason, I rarely purchase products twice. I do have my holy grail products that I buy again and again, but those products are a short list. When it comes to eyeshadow, mascara, or lip products I am always trying something new.

For the past few months, I’ve been hearing lots of hype about the new 3D Fiber Mascara. I’d seen the promo pics and heard the reviews, but I remained skeptical. (I’m always skeptical, btw, about everything until I try something myself.) It was on my wishlist of things I wanted to try, and in May I reached out to my readers to see if anyone sold Younique products. Adrianne Lazar, one of my sweet and faithful readers, offered to gift me the mascara and let me review it for the blog. Here is my review of the Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes!

Here’s what you receive when you order the Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes:

The mascara comes in the cutest hard shell carrying case. It contains the Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers. The cost is $29.00.

  1. Apply your regular mascara.
  2. Apply a coat of the Transplanting Gel.
  3. While the Transplanting Gel is still wet, apply the Natural Fibers.
  4. Apply another coat of the Transplanting Gel.

Tips for Success:

  • I found it worked best if I worked one eye at a time.
  • Comb through your lashes with a lash comb after applying the second coat of Transplanting Gel.
  • Try not to blink – I did get some Transplanting Gel on my lid while applying, but it wiped off easily.
  • Adrienne told me she doesn’t do Step 1 – she just goes right into Step 2. I haven’t tried that yet but who doesn’t want to skip a step?!

I was really impressed with the mascara! It definitely lived up to the hype.

I was worried the fibers would irritate my eyes (I’m a contact wearer) but I had no issues! It was also extremely easy to wash off at the end of the night. I did have a little bit of smudging under my eyes but I experience that with almost any mascara – I have oily eyelids.

I will say this isn’t a daily use mascara, mainly because when I’m running around with the kids I like to keep my makeup routine to five minutes or less. However, I will definitely be using this for special occasions and date nights!
