Tickled Peach is a website for every mom – young or old (er), new or seasoned, single or married, stay at home or working. We celebrate moms of every type – the biological mothers, the adoptive mothers, the stepmothers, the childcare providers, the grandparents, those waiting and praying to someday become mothers.

Here at Tickled Peach, we believe that children are a gift from the Lord.

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I have asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27

Raising children is a precious gift, and it is one that should not be taken lightly. We all feel the deep responsibility of raising our children. We share a deep and abiding love for our children that cannot be measured. We all want the same thing – for our children to develop, learn, and grow into compassionate and responsible adults.

Motherhood is a blessing beyond measure. However, it is also a tremendous responsibility. It is a job! The hours are long and the tasks are endless. For every smile, laugh, and hug you receive you may also experience tantrums, attitude, and refusal to cooperate from your children. It is truly the highest of highs and the lowest of lows – often in the same day, multiple times!

As mothers, we’re all in the same boat. We’re a sisterhood, a community, a tribe, and here at Tickled Peach we want nothing more than to support you. Here you can find support from other moms who have been there and done that. Got a question or a problem? We’ll find the answer for you. Need a recipe or a gift idea? We have that covered as well. Tickled Peach is your #1 source of support and inspiration for moms.

Tickled Peach – seeking joy and laughter every day.

ABOUT ANDREA

A1

Hi! I’m Andrea, 35 years old. I’m a wife to Jason and a mother to two precious boys: Cooper, 4 and Sullivan, 8 months. My husband Jason is a former Navy submariner who is currently working in the nuclear power field. I am a former social worker. I worked in the developmental disabilities field until 2013, when my husband and I decided it would be best for our family if I stayed at home with our children.

I grew up in North Augusta, South Carolina and will always consider myself a Carolina girl, even though I now live in Georgia. Due to Jason’s military career, I’ve bounced around the country but I’ve never lost sight of my Southern roots. Jason and I love Charleston, South Carolina – it is where we met and where we lived when we had our first child. If you ever visit my home, you will see my love for the South displayed in the many palmetto trees and pineapples throughout my home.

I love me a monogram. I think it was Reese Witherspoon who said “my rule is, if it’s not moving, monogram it” and I completely agree. Sparkly things make me happy, and I think the world would be a better place if it was decorated with a sprinkle of glitter. I think every day should be started with a giant cup of coffee, preferably with a tasty flavored creamer. I easily get sucked into any reality show on television. I celebrate big hair and I start each day with a teasing comb and a giant bottle of Freeze It hairspray.

On a serious note, I love the Lord and I’m doing my best to raise my children to be Godly young men. My faith will not be the main focus of this blog but you will see and hear me talk about my beliefs because it is an integral part of my life. If you have questions about Christianity or how you can come to know Jesus, please email me at andrea@tickledpeach.com.

As the weeks go by, I’ll be doing my best to help you get to know the girl behind the blog. Please find the “Categories” tab on the right site of the screen and click on “About” or “Andrea” to find all related posts. I can also be found elsewhere on the web at My Chihuahua Bites!
